The “New” Journalist is a Podcaster

It is interesting how news journalists have been asked to try their hands at multimedia podcasting. For some journalists who are young and/or adventurous, or who have previously worked with audio or video production, transitioning their journalistic skills to the podcast medium is not a chore or a bore. For others who have been in a journalistic field a long time who hath no need for a camera or microphone, learning to podcast could be seen as a waste of time. But looking at the number of news organizations that have already accepted the sea change, it’s either adapt with the times or hang in the background with the rest of the “old media”.
